Good job guys. Another helpful passage to your argument –

    Mark 7
20 He (Jesus) went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

If the things you watch, read, listen to etc. negatively affect you on the inside they should be avoided. But many of us can sit in a theater and watch a rated R movie with “adult themes” without our hearts and behavior being affected. If you cannot then you should not expose yourself to those things.

It is not an issue of rating but of content and the right answer depends on the person and how much they are affected. I personally can see a movie with a lot of cussing and it has no effect, but if I am surrounded by people (real life) doing the same thing I know that it does affect how I speak.

Know thyself :) and set your personal boundaries.
And of course…watch your kids around water.
